They are beginning the years of slash and burn made by bankers' greed which we will pay for with a million jobs and pensions. This is not a time to be poor or sick or old or young or out of work. This is not a time to be a nurse a firefighter or a bin man. This is a time to fight. Their wealth and power rests on our consent and this is not a time for consent: this is a time to fight, to be proud of what we do. Our identity is made by what we make and shape it has clear outlines and it will not be denied. This is a time to fight.
