P.D. Crofts - Moments Before The Crash

A few cross words

Tuesday 16 February 2010

I have been reading the Morning Star and the Daily Worker for over 60 years. I enjoy reading the paper and I am delighted that you have now got a fitness columnist.

I wonder when you intend to reintroduce a children's page - I remember that the Daily Worker saw the need to encourage young people to read their parents' paper.

On a slightly sour note, though, who takes responsibility for the crossword? Saturday February 13's grid did not match the clues, today's was a repeat of last week's puzzle.

Every crossword states that a solution will be in the next edition of the paper. This frequently does not happen and leads to frustration to us solvers. The crosswords are some of the most challenging and enjoyable in any newspaper and I hope a little more attention can be made to meeting our needs.
